When I saw the cast for this film I knew it would be great. The only problem I saw was that Sony still owned the rights to Spider-Man. I’d rather it be back in Marvel’s hands because we know with Marvel the interest is in the character. I guess Sony came to the conclusion that they will make more money and be more successful if they take their films serious. This film was amazing from start to finish. I would have liked to have had a better LOOKING Lizard, I thought the design of the character was pretty poorly done but for the most part I pretty much have to nitpick to find anything wrong with this movie.
First of all Andrew Garfield was instantly better than Tobey Maguire, it’s not even close. He is the perfect candidate for Peter Parker, he has the look, he has the personality and this film is written far better than the first Spider-Man film. I think Peter’s intellect was handled alot better in this film, I think the fact that he is only a teenager taking on the responsibility of being superhero was handled better. What bugged me about the story telling was the parts where Peter was trying to get control of his powers. There was certain parts where he seems to have exposed himself as Spider-Man, but nobody took notice by some coincidence.
I think Emma Stone was very good as Gwen Stacy. I never really liked Gwen so it doesn’t really matter but I just love Emma Stone as an actress. This film and the first film seems to be the difference between the 1989 Batman and Batman Begins. So many loose ends were tied up, so much made more sense.
  • Casting was Flawless
  • The way the movie was written in directed gives the story a more realistic feel.
  • new costume design was alot better and was designed more sensibly
  • Storytelling was alot better than previous films. It didn’t feel cheesy at any point
  • Some scenes after Peter got his powers seemed unnecessary
  • The design of the Lizard was pretty bad
I give this film an
